Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium funding is additional money allocated to schools by the government to address underlying inequalities between children eligible to Free School Meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the children who need it most. Schools are accountable for how they spend their Pupil Premium funding, and need to ensure this has an impact on supporting the achievement and attainment of pupils from lower-income families.
We measure progress for our Pupil Premium initiatives through close monitoring of both progress and outcomes data, to ensure these children are supported in their learning to reach their fullest potential. Teachers make formative and summative assessments throughout the year to ensure targets for children, and interventions are having a positive impact on learning.
Please see the Pupil Premium report for details of how the money is used at Long Furlong.
